Eric Dorris, Founder/CEO
When cat lover and award-winning videographer, Eric Dorris, of Austin, Texas, purchased a “made for cats” VHS tape in June of 1999, he had a vision and an idea. While watching the video, and discovering his cats’ delightful reaction to the action on the screen, Eric had the idea for a website for “cat people.”
He envisioned one destination to view and share cat videos, photos and stories, and to find other cat parents and cat friends from all over the world. Eric envisioned a website that would be entertaining for humans and cats – CATVIDEOS.COM.
“This was before YouTube, Facebook, and social marketing.”
Since 1999, Eric has worked in the music industry as a Director, Editor and Producer of DVDs for drummers and musicians. The DVDs are distributed by Hudson Limited, Hal Leonard, and Alfred Publishing.
In 2009, after realizing the tremendous growth and interest in the kitten and cat parent video market, Eric went to work with his wife, Jill, to develop and launch the CATVIDEOS.COM BETA test site.

From the very beginning of the BETA launch, the CATVIDEOS.COM team has been dedicated to building the dream website for cat lovers and enthusiasts.
Jill Dorris, Co-Founder
Jill has always loved cats, and is constantly amazed by their beauty and the unique personalities of each breed. She is the CATVIDEOS.com website moderator, administrator, and assists with team coordination.

The two cats featured in the CATVIDEOS.com DVDs, “Tom-Tom’s Dream” and “Chi-Chi’s Adventure” are the Dorris family cats, Tom-Tom and Cymbal.
Jill graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Consumer Science and Merchandising. She and Eric have been married for more than 20 years and have been business partners in Austin since 1994. They have one daughter, Ava.
CATVIDEOS.COM has the inspired backing of investor and cat parent, Don Sanders, whose campaign to build the Friends for Life Don Sanders Adoption Center in Houston was launched from his own personal love of cats.
Sanders’ devotion to his own cat family, vast personal cat art collection and his allegiance to the needs of stray and neglected cats have given him true Cat Champion status.

With a life-long love of "All Things Bright and Beautiful," Mia Garcia serves as senior writer and editor for CATVIDEOS.com. Mia is "MammaMeow" on CATVIDEOS.com, and you'll find her articles, reviews and stories in "Mews of the Day," on the home page. CAT CHAT is where MammaMeow blogs about her own cat family along with other current topics. Mia feels blessed to have three cats and three dogs in her household, and notes, "Every day is new and exciting with my six pets. The cats are clearly in charge."

I was born and raised in New Jersey, and earned my B.S. degree at Rutgers University with a major in Animal Science and a minor in Business Economics. My career path has given me experience both in sales and management. As far back as I can remember I have always had an extreme love for animals. My position with CATVIDEOS.com is a great match for my passion for animals and my experience in sales. I am married and have three children and live in Austin, Texas. My priorities in life always include my faith, family, and friends. In my free time, my interests and activities include my animals, exercise, cooking, decorating and finding new ways to be creative.

Scott Cavender, Graphic Design
Scott Cavender is a classically trained artist who graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. Scott is responsible for the layout and user interface for the CATVIDEOS.com website and the iPhone app. He works with CATVIDEOS.com to build a clean, user-friendly interface for both applications. In addition, Scott heads up other areas such as print media, package design and illustration.
John Ludlow, Marketing and Community Engagement
John Ludlow helps with the marketing and community engagement efforts of CATVIDEOS.com. John worked in online marketing for eight years before joining the team at CATVIDEOS.com. Located in Austin, John enjoys the tech scene, playing with his three daughters, and watching cats attempt sports.
Sjon Ueckert, 3D Animation
Sjon Ueckert loves cats, plays the guitar, and currently owns a crazy Chihuahua named "Lucky." He's been with the CATVIDEOS.com team for two years and has more than 30 years experience in film, video production, 3D animation and digital graphics creation. Sjon is a professional editor in Final Cut Pro and currently use Maya, Poser and After Effects to create fun animations for CATVIDEOS.com.
Andy Schneider, Assistant Video Editor
Hi I'm Andy! I'm a creative professional in the great city of Austin, TX, where I love spending time with my wife Carrie, our two cats Lucy and Lilly, and our dog Hunni.
