Makes you want to R.O.A.R., right? Animal Planet R.O.A.R. connects leading animal protection, rescue, shelter and environmental organizations with volunteers and financial contributors to assist animals in need. If you participate in R.O.A.R, your R.O.A.R. will be heard.

Animal Planet created R.O.A.R. by partnering with leading animal organizations to inspire people to make the world a better place for animals. Believing that together, we all have the power to improve the lives of animals in our communities and in the wild, R.O.A.R. has proven that even the smallest act has an impact. R.O.A.R. is a key component of Discovery's overall impact initiative which strives to celebrate, support and sustain the majesty of the earth's people, animals and natural beauty through innovative programs and events. While the R.O.A.R. program provides a vehicle to give us humans a way to make our voices heard through volunteerism, awareness-raising campaigns and fundraising, R.O.A.R. also supports its partner charities financially through matching donation campaigns and watch-and-give campaigns.

The R.O.A.R. Promise

On the Animal Planet R.O.A.R. home page, introductory videos and stories all lead you to make a promise. The R.O.A.R. Promise is your own personal promise to do something to help animals. Maybe it’s a promise to spend time playing with kittens and puppies at a shelter to help them socialize. What fun! Or maybe you find yourself organizing a fundraising event for your local animal shelter or cat adoption center. Whatever you promise to do for cats through R.O.A.R., you’re taking a big step that can only help all those little paws become stronger, healthier and headed into forever homes.
